The FLUX Quartet plays Oliver Lake! In the forthcoming release “Right Up On”, Oliver Lake features Flux Quartet performing seven of his original compositions for a string quartet. Lake himself performs on three of the pieces (Hey Now Hey, 5 Sisters and Disambiguate), creating an interesting discussion between saxophone and strings.The compositions are varied in approach, turning often to improvisation, thus offering unmatched eclecticism in a single album. Einstein 100!, the largest piece, has solo and duo sections highlighting the virtuosity of the FLUX quartet.
