Intro Section: This arrangements doesn't stray far from the original recording of this piece, that was recorded by Miles Davis. Four bars shout chord on 1st beat_one sax playing a 3 beat fill-next bar same but different sax plays the fill- same 3rd bar and fourth bar, at 5th bar ostinato bass line of TuTu begins, played by alto, tenor and baritone sax, harmonized in fourths. At ninth bar melody begins played by soprano sax. Melody: when melody is played twice, improvisations begin.Improvisation deals with ostinato line and melody line. Group can play as ensemble or feature soloist w/accompaniment. After solos, cue to letter B, a 4 bar solo baritone bass line, this leads to a one bar riff and to out chorus, a repeat of the melody with ostinato accompaniment, to abrupt ending on last upbeat eight note. This piece also works well with drum accompaniment.
